The Rush Family!

At our session this weekend I met another family with 4 awesome kids! I got some great shots of them and we all still managed to have fun even in the 36 degree weather that we had! Eric & Cyrena have beautiful kids and they were all great troopers dealing with photos in the freezing cold :)

The Fun & Beautiful Schalick Family

This family session with the Schalick's was so much fun and incredibly entertaining!! I met this amazing family years ago at Red Mountain Christian Center & it's so fun to now see all of those 'adorable little Schalick kids' grown up! Sarah, Daniel, Rachel, Adam, Eva & Sofie are some of the most polite and sweetest kids and teenagers that you'll meet. I love seeing big families who love each other and have so much fun together. Tim & Mary definitely did a great job of raising their family to be that way. I know I speak for many people in saying that they are just an awesome family to know!

My Most Favorite People

I don't know where to begin with this crazy bunch other than saying that I truly have been blessed with the greatest family. Through all of the fun times and the sad times, all of the HILARIOUS moments & memories that I will never forget- my family is the constant factor in them all!! But then again when there are 6 kids within our family, our lives are bound to be entertaining and a good kind of crazy :) Cohen is the sweetest and most caring young man that there is… and it feels really weird to say young man & not 'little boy' but he isn't so little anymore. The kid is so smart and creative and he can just crack me up!! My Ella girl is so stinkin' pretty! She started school and just decided it was time to look and act all big girl on us and she was flat working it for family pictures. Little miss Layla is a crack up and she never ceases to surprise me with what she comes up with next. She is quite the fashionista and is never hesitant to point out that you're just in sweats & not wearing any makeup haha! Ali, Ali, Ali.. the smartest and funniest 2 year old out there. She never misses a beat and she's the best 'cheeser' in the family! Emily is my little peanut girl and I absolutely love her sweet smile! And of course there is Brody- mine and Jon's biggest joy! He is the best little guy, such a good boy, and 100% BOY!! We all love to joke about how he's too much for himself to handle. I like to give the kids the spotlight but I can't stop without mentioning my awesome sister and brother-in-law and how much fun we have with them. And last but not least, my amazing parents who always have and still do so much for all of us & who make the world's best Papa & Nana to our kiddos!

The Aguilar family is another beautiful family that I met for the first time at our photo session! We had a fun time out taking pictures and we all got a great morning laugh at Carlos… little guys are the best! :) Thanks for making my job so much fun Aguilar Family!

Another Beautiful Hicok Family

Brandon and Nikki have a super cute little family with their two sons, Mason & Deacon, and I'm pretty sure I just had the chilliest and wettest photo shoot with their family! Naturally it was crazy, fun, short & sweet!! Deacon is such a happy little man and all it took was for him to see his mama to give me the biggest and sweetest smiles. And the silly picture of Mason was not posted by accident- he LOVES dinosaurs and he took his photo opportunity to give me his best T-Rex ROARRRRR! Kids are great and provide some of the best pictures! :)

My Best Friend From College: Melody Holmes

Melody and I met my freshman year in college at Southwestern Assemblies of God University & I knew right away that I was going to have a lifelong friend in her. We haven't seen each other in TWO years and so this past weekend was a much needed & well deserved visit! She has been there for me through many of the exciting times in my life and for some of the not so fun times, but for it all I thank God that I've had her friendship. As you can all see Mel is GORGEOUS!! I remember promising her, years ago in college, that I would never let her cut her hair again… and I'm glad I made her stick to it because she now has big & beautiful hair!! I love that I got to photograph her because I know her so well and knew just how to get the 'true Mel' out. The first picture is the perfect way to show off who she is- a beautiful, genuine, and just all around fun person. I have such a sweet friend in her and am thankful for her thoughtfulness, how much she cares about others, and just for being able to have fun and always laugh with her. Love you so much Mel & the next time I photograph you- you better have a bump in your belly!!! ;)
