The Future Mr. & Mrs. Martinez!!

I had so much fun with this newly engaged couple at our session this last weekend. Josh & Olivia are planning their wedding for the spring of 2015 and they've now completed (in my opinion) one of the most exciting items on the to-do list-- engagement photos!! You can see their excitement from the pictures & I loved how all I had to say was "Josh get Olivia to laugh..." and she was already giddy and giggling :) They have an exciting and busy year ahead with planning and making sure everything turns out perfect for their big day!

The Beautiful Shade Family

This mini session with the Shade's was everything that family pictures with 3 kids should be... one kiddo showing up with only one shoe on and the other two with fake tattoos on their arms and legs! Thank goodness for photo editing!! ;) This post was almost titled 'The Beautiful Eyes of the Shade family' because as you can see these kids have GORGEOUS eyes!! Their eyes were not enhanced in post processing, they came right off of my camera this awesome! Daniel, Brooke, and Ashtyn are so sweet together and I loved seeing Daniel be a big protective brother with his sisters. Chris & Dotti you guys have a beautiful family!

The First Look At The New Mr. & Mrs. Knowles!!!

What a beautiful day in Gold Canyon for Tyler & Lauren's wedding last weekend. This was another one of those situations where I had to pinch myself to realize it was actually happening because I grew up in youth group with Lauren & the wedding officiator used to be our youth pastor!! It's so crazy when I put it into perspective like that and I felt so privileged to be a part of such a sweet wedding. Lauren was glowing all day and she had this giddy smile on her face from the time I arrived and up until I took my last picture! She and Tyler were all about each other and they embraced every minute of the day. It was so cool to see another couple who made God the center of their wedding & vowed to make Him the center of their marriage.

I am so happy for the two of you & thank you for allowing me to help you remember your beautiful wedding day!!!

One Of My FAVORITE Ladies: Stephanie Beeman Behrens!

From the time I was in the 3rd grade, this girl right here has been one of my closest friends. And by close, I mean close!!! We once begged to have our hair braided TOGETHER for crazy hair night at Awanas... thanks to our wise moms & them knowing we were both way too uncoordinated to be joined at the head, by a braid, they sent us as Cindy Lou Who with a cup underneath our hair instead! We were also the two girls who diligently practiced and performed(ish) Jingle Bells on our clarinets for a special at church- how gracious of those leaders to allow us to have our big star performance!! The list continues of many many sleepovers, road trips with each others family, becoming big girls and going off to college and then becoming even bigger girls and getting married to the men of our dreams- and now we get to add both being bloggers to our list!!! Stephanie is a total foodie (even though you'd never know it by looking at her) and the recipes she comes up with are too good not to share. She is doing everyone a favor and starting a food blog! One of the final steps before she gets it up and running was to have some new portraits taken and it was one of the best feelings to be asked to take them for her :) She is beautiful on the outside- I mean come on look at her HAIR, but her sense of humor, her thoughtfulness of others, her straight up honesty, her ability to make me laugh all the time but especially when a good laugh is needed & our many years of friendship is what makes her one of my FAVORITE people.

Be on the look out for when she launches her blog-- trust me, you will want to follow it! Her GOOD food combined with her humor will make for a great blog to follow!
